JUNE
As usual Doug and Sierra looked for every opportunity to have some fun!
Sponge Bob Sierra
Patrick Sierra
Doug had a little trouble trying on his new jammies HE made :P
Don't you love Doug's hair....It took him all day to make it !
We were EXCITED when we discovered that Sierra was once again in our local Newspaper, the Enterprise!
Sierra and her friends had a SCHOOLS OUT WERE DONE PARTY
They lit a fire in our pit and cooked dinner over it, burned some high school paperwork and had a BLAST chatting about their plans for the future!
So every once in a while you hear a sound at night and when you investigate it is a cat or squirrel trying to get in the garbage... well on this night it was RACOONS. I wanted a picture but everytime I tried, my flash scared them off. There were 2 fairly good sized coons and Doug and I saw them and then in the morning I found their little foot prints as evidence.
For Sierra's birthday this year she wanted a 1940's themed party.
As is the usual when you have a Summer birthday just after school gets out, people are on vacation... but those who came had a GREAT time!
They were handed a 1940's fact sheet to fill out when they first came.
Then they had a dinner of. salad, garlic bread, shepherd's pie and for dessert cake that Sierra made and their beverage was a sherbert punch.
Sierra gave them answers to the 1940 Fun facts...
Sierra's Best Friend gave her this FUN pillow to take to college!
Our Coons came back and we heard them out front and when we opened the door they were in the tree. We scared them and guess how many coons came out of our tree?
We had 2 big coons, Mom and Dad we assume and 4 kids that came out of our tree!
The very next day I went walking around McKay Lake and as I was coming back and I saw 2 coons in a tree in the middle island of a busy street. A 3rd had been hit by a car and was smashed near by:( I scared them and they ran from the tree to the ground. I was following them and all of a sudden they were gone. I kept walking and listening and I saw a little coon claw come through the fence gap and then the coons climbed a tree and looked at me from a tree. We were face to face about 8 ft away, I took a picture with my phone and then I left them be.
How ironic that I would see them the very next day, after the family had been in the tree.
Then as I was coming home I saw a coon run out from under a porch just up the street and when I was about 2 houses away I saw a HUGE RACOON looked like a small dog about 3 ft off the ground on all 4 feet running from our driveway to the bushes across the street. I was a little intimidated. Especially since the night before when we scared the Mom out of the tree she hissed at us!
More to come...

1940s, I'd probably fail that quiz. LOL It looks like it was fun.
Wow! Racoons. I thought we lived out in the boonies not you. They look cute and harmless but I'm sure that's no the case.
Is Sierra going to do a college blog? That would be cool. Same with Shelly.
Love you!
