MAY

Near the beginning of May we recieved the news that my Grandma passed away. My Mom really wanted me to be there and I wanted to be there for my family so I flew home for her funeral. Just the Saturday before Grandma had celebrated her 90th birthday! She had been away from her Sweetheart since 1998. We took great comfort in knowing Grandma and Grandpa were together again!

I flew home in time to be with the kids from our Peak to celebrate their accomplishments at the year end awards assembly. The Peak Program ended May 9th.
Sierra graduated from High school and then Seminary!!!
So Doug's birthday fell on a Sunday this year we had celebrated with family that weekend but on the day of his birthday with rushing to church and everything, we forgot. In Sacrament meeting Sierra and I realized we had not done anything to acknowledge his day... So I skipped Sunday School and rushed home to make a banner and cut out some ducks and yellow dots to do SOMEthing !!! He liked it!!!!
Sierra got Doug another Alton Brown cook book
While our guests were here to celebrate we visited, BBQed, we did puzzles, and we played Wii.
IT WAS HOT THIS SUMMER Sierra cleaned out her pool and even though she slathered herself with sunscreen she still felt the sting for about a week!
more to come...
