Never Forgotten

So for the World 9/11 marks the day the world was attacked and the twin towers fell because of terrorism!
For me 9/11 reminds me that in 2 days 8 years ago my little sister Taunya died from her battle with Luekemia due to complications cause by pneumonia.

Because of my understanding and faith I have peace with her leaving this world to early! I know she is busy helping serve the Lord.

Sunday Sept 13th I was busy with a visiting teaching confernce and in a moment of viewing my ward sisters in a lovely dvd they presented I realized why that date had seemed so important to me. It marked the day Taunya left this earth 8 yrs ago for a better place.

So I just wanted to put into words how I have recognized her absence and how I celebrate her life not just here but in the hereafter!
I hope someday her kids come to know what she knew and get that same peace that allowed her to go.

I love you Taunya! I miss you but I am glad that you now have the purpose you always searched for!
Love, Wendy

Something for Myself :D

Well yesterday was my first Institute class. We are studying the Book of Mormon!!
Not only was it nice to have somewhere to go away from the house and my still at home husband but it was nice to have a reason to get dressed up and be with others( Not my husband)
We have such insightful discussions and our teacher Sis.Dunford is amazing!!!
I just love my class! And finally I am doing something I can look forward to!

*Look who's Driving Now!!!

Sierra recently got her permit. Doug and I are playing passengers!
At first it was a little scary to go around corners.
It has now been about 2 weeks and I am no longer afraid to drive with her! I actually enjoy it!
I am pretty sure that she has more hours than most kids her age since we let her drive everywhere!

Looking forward to SPRING

Well Yesterday we had some snow but by noon it was gone. I kind of feel guilty not wanting anymore snow when we need moisture so much! But I am ready for SPRING!!!!
I feel like since Dec 17 when all our troubles started that I have been hibernating ever since. Sufficeth to say that we trusted in our God and he has blessed us with his tender mercies and his comfort through everything. See the family site for further details later this week.
My tulips are popping up through the soil and I contantly hear birds singing just outside my windows in our tree and I really enjoy the daylight lasting longer.. now if it will just get warmer I can get back to walking daily!

In Jan when life was anything but sunny. Doug decided to paint the front door yellow.
So I thought I'd share.

I hope that as Spring bring newness of life and renewal we will also get that benefit!
