Life on a daily basis is what it is :P

So now that we are finally done with Winter Break.

Life is back to school and homework for Sierra. Recently she "jammed" her finger tossing around a football and it left her with a very sore purple ring finger for a few days.

For me daily walking on the treadmill, watching the time, getting ready for and then going to work and then going to whatever meetings I have for my calling in the Stake Primary. I really love that I have Fridays off! It is nice to have a day to do something I WANT TO DO!(after I clean the house).

Doug has unfortunately been SICK! Cold, Sinus, Flu, You name it and he has had it the last couple of weeks poor man! I have been taking Airborne in hopes of staying healthy, between all the kids I work with and Doug it has been a struggle.

I hope you are all healthy and happy :)

Color challenge Throw Down #173

I did not have Real Red paper or the basic gray or silver so I used paper from paper packs I got at Hobby Lobby. The gray is a dark gray.

I stamped the polka dots with the Stampabilities Polka Dot Background stamp.
The butterfly is from the SU,Hello Again set.
The Thinking of you stamp is Clearly Wordsworth clear stamps.

The punches are Stampin'up Looks like Spring,Love you much and the Scallop Trim Border. The stem andleaves were freehand draw and then cut out.

The ribbon is silver organdy from most likely Walmart.

I think this card turned out simple but cute so I am submitting it :)

If you want to join in the FUN the blog is listed under my Worth a Look blogs...

Something for ME

So I have a few friends who do this FUN card color challenge and this year I got the scoop! I started with color throw down #172 but I wasn't confident enough to post it.

I did not have all the colors. I substituted Taken with Teal for Bermuda Bay and Rose Red for Melon Mambo and I used markers.
The stamps I used are all from Stampin'Up Snowflakes, Snow Swirled, Gifts of Christmas and Season of Joy!

Here are the cards I made. I think they turned out good. Interesting to use colors I do not associate with Christmas at all.

Wow another New Year 2012

I am not really making any New Year Resolutions this year.
I am just going to try and do BETTER than last year in EVERYTHING!!!

I forsee so many changes in this coming year most are exciting and those are only the ones I know about.

Sierra graduates in May and sometime in the Fall will be leaving for college!
Mom will just have to get used to it and get a life! HA

These events have been formost in my mind lately. Being able to spend so much time together over the holidays has made me realize how much of my life is HER! and I know it will always be that way but I never thought I would have a hard time letting her go and grow up... but easy tears tell me differently.

In my Institute class on Tuesday we talked about what we have learned and could share to help us in the New Year. (I posted it on Facebook as my status 1 day) Anyway 1 of the comments was to ENJOY the MOMENT...LIVE IN THE NOW So that is what I am going to do this year :D
