When the rains came down and the floods came up

So this past week it has been raining on and off.... This weekend it has been raining almost non stop.
Today church was cancelled because of the rain and the risk of flooding... So I drove around documenting this "biblical" rain and flooding.

Thank goodness it has not seriously effected me or my family.

This is a park near where we go to church... the "pond" over flowed and engulfed the park.

Another view of the flooding at the park

it even reached the picnic tables

Someone going wading... it was knee deep here at the edge of the park

The water is creeping up on the playground equipment

View from the left side

This is off of Lowell and 136th  the golf course there

There is a little creek that flows along the golf course and today it was a river running into reservoir

A closer look at the run off

The tunnel close is usually an under the street passage way for golf carts today it is as full as the creek (in the rear)

another view of the tunnel

The bridge over that creek

the creek over flowing

The golf course off of Lowell the marsh is all flooded...

The park by the library

Lake flooding by the library

The flooding by the library I couldn't get any closer because the road was closed and blocked off

Flooding behind the police station

This is on 132nd right in front of Arapahoe Ridge elementary and my cut off to Quail Creek park open space....
So I parked and waded in the water to get the next few pictures...

this is what is usually the grass on the side of Arapahoe Ridge Elementary school and today it is a lake....

the whole block is flooded....

The street... it was knee deep.. I stood in it...
This is usually a field with a sidewalk  to get to the school .. all flooded

The sign to the Quail Creek Park open space...

The open space I usually cross to get to 136th trail

Off 136th and quail creek park... all my trails are under water I couldn't even get close to the other side of the street it was blocked off...

Quail creek was really flooded....the water is even over the trail....

 Quail creek lake overflowing....

The tunnel I usually walk under Zuni Street was completely flooded to the point it was even with the over flow from the lake....

What the tunnel looks like on the other side of Zuni Street....

The field behind Legacy High School. The terra cotta sides of the tunnel I usually walk through on my way back home while walking this trail....

Looking left at the same field ....

This is the sidewalk around the lake at the end of our street

Close up.. it is all the way to the sidewalk on our side....

The lake is flooded to almost the sidewalk on the right side.....

A view from the side into the trees....

The pond is edge to edge....
